As a Senior Optical Engineer, you will play a crucial part in developing our client’s unique product offering competing within the New Space Sector.

The Ideal Candidate Must Have:

• 10+ years’ experience as an Optical Engineer
• Strong expertise with Optical System Design Analysis
• Expert in Structural-Thermal Optical-Performance Analysis
• Proficient user of ZEMAX
• Specialised knowledge of and hands on experience with Focal Plane Array/PIN photodiodes/ Avalanche Photodiode Detectors and lasers
• *Space Sector experience is highly desirable

What You Will Be Doing:

• Design & Development: Lead the design, manufacturing, testing, and validation of advanced optical systems
• Assembly & Integration: Oversee the Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) of the terminal, ensuring the highest standards of performance. Your work will be pivotal in the successful deployment of these systems in challenging environments.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for technical reviews and project milestones. Your ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and accurately will be essential in securing project approvals and driving progress.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure the seamless integration of optical systems into broader project frameworks
