Full Stack Developer – NewSpace Company (Germany, Hybrid/Remote)

Our client, an innovative NewSpace company in Germany, is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join their team. You will work on their new catalog and existing suite of web-based applications, playing a pivotal role in system design and software architecture discussions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong developer who is eager to venture into the space industry, even without prior space sector experience.
Your Role

• Work with the current team to manage system design and software architecture decisions.
• Develop end-to-end features, ensuring seamless integration between frontend and backend components.
• Contribute equally to both frontend (50%) and backend (50%) development.
• Build and enhance web-based applications used for European Space Agency (ESA) projects and collaborations with other NewSpace players.
• Ensure robust testing of frontend and backend code.
• Optimize and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment.

What You Need

• 5+ years experience in Full Stack Development with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
• Strong proficiency in Next.js for modern frontend development.
• Experience in automated testing using Cypress, ByteTest, and unit testing frameworks.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven track record of developing products end-to-end, including architecture, development, and testing.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience working on projects in the space sector (not required but a plus!).
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and DevOps practices.
• Experience in working in cross-functional teams with agile methodologies.
