NewSpace Technical are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to join our client who are specialists in Geospatial Data Analytics and AI. They are leveraging exceptional Geospatial datasets like EO satellite imagery with AI to produce instantaneous Geo analytics.

Serving both private sector clients and public sector defence initiatives, the team are making a significant impact on how geospatial data is utilized globally!

Job Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Developer with expertise in React and Geospatial Visualisation tools. In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to build advanced geospatial visualisation applications, turning complex geo datasets into actionable insights. Your work will produce highly influential visual data for key decision-making processes across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-performance web applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js, Firebase
• Implement advanced geospatial visualisation tools to handle and display complex geospatial datasets.
• Collaborate with backend developers, data scientists, and geospatial analysts to integrate and visualise data.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Requirements:

• Must be eligible to work in the UK (Our client is unable to offer sponsorship)
• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, GIS, Data OR Similar Field
• 5+ years commercial experience as a Frontend Developer, with a strong portfolio of React-based projects.
• Expertise in geospatial visualisation tools (e.g.,Deck.GL, Leaflet, Cesium, D3.js).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
• Solid understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the NewSpace sector or working with geospatial datasets.
• Knowledge of remote sensing technologies and satellite imagery.
• Understanding of backend technologies and data integration.
