Job Title: Sales Engineer (US Govt., Space & Defence)
Location: Washington, D.C. – with frequent travel to client sites

NewSpace technical are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer with a strong technical background and proven experience in driving customer success within the US Government, Defence and Intelligence. This role requires deep understanding of tech, satellite communications, deployment challenges, and the ability to align our client’s technology portfolio with their customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with US Government clients, understanding their operational requirements and challenges.
  • Technical Solutions: Present and demonstrate our client’s technology portfolio, emphasizing custom technical solutions
  • Account Growth.: Demonstrated success in business development, including identifying opportunities, crafting tailored solutions, and securing successful proposals. Deep knowledge of government procurement processes and contracting vehicles.
  • Requirements Analysis: Gather and analyse customer requirements to propose tailored solutions that address specific mission needs.
  • Deployment Expertise: Provide insights into deployment challenges, particularly in satellite operations and US Government environments. Collaborate with customers to identify opportunities, move accounts forward, and secure long-term partnerships
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align solutions with client needs and organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar role, focused on the US Government sector.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong background in satellite ground systems, MilSatCom, GEOINT, and/or satellite communications. Familiarity with government-specific infrastructure, procurement, and software deployment processes.
  • US Citizenship: Required under ITAR regulations; candidates should also be eligible for TS/SCI clearance.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to convey technical concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience with satellite operations or satellite communications infrastructure, and national security
  • Knowledge of US Government systems and processes related to satellite technology deployment.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
