NewSpace Technical have partnered with a growing France-based Space and Aerospace company.

The company are working on incredible new Space and Aerospace projects pushing the boundaries of innovation, contributing to global advancements in astronomy, satellite communications, and space exploration.

We are looking for a highly skilled Project Manager to lead and oversee technical projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with their strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Lead and manage complex technical projects focused on space optics and telescope systems. Oversee all stages of project lifecycles from initiation to completion.
  • Team Leadership: Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, and external contractors, to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, technical teams, and suppliers, ensuring clear understanding of project goals and progress.
  • Budget & Scheduling: Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources. Monitor project costs to ensure delivery within budget and on time.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to avoid delays and technical challenges.
  • Technical Documentation: Oversee the creation and maintenance of project documentation, ensuring technical specifications are met and quality standards are upheld.
  • Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to industry regulations, technical standards, and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of project management experience in technical fields, preferably in space optics, telescope systems, or aerospace engineering.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Aerospace, or a related technical discipline.
  • Technical Understanding: Strong technical background in space optics, telescopic systems, or aerospace technologies. Ideally large instruments.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale projects.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, fluent in both English. French is desirable.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical and organizational challenges.
