  • Production Oversight: Support the production process, supply chain, and final satellite assembly and testing to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Supplier Quality: Collaborate with suppliers, providing oversight and driving solutions for key quality issues.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into nonconformances and drive corrective actions to improve processes.
  • Process Improvement: Use Lean Six Sigma principles to identify and eliminate variation, improving product consistency and quality.
  • Documentation Support: Provide input and reviews for Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews (PDR & CDR), manufacturing work instructions (MWI), and test procedures.
  • Nonconformance Management: Lead and manage PRs, MRBs, and FRBs (Problem Reviews, Material Review Boards, and Failure Review Boards).

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or related discipline).
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering for space, aerospace, or high-reliability systems.
  • Strong knowledge of quality frameworks (AS9100, ISO 9001).
  • Experience in process improvement and root cause analysis, with proficiency in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications and provide quality-driven feedback.
  • Strong leadership skills in managing supplier quality and cross-functional team collaboration.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working with satellite assembly and testing processes.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing instructions, test procedures, and failure investigations.
  • Hands-on experience with PR/MRB/FRB processes and documentation.
  • Ability to engage and negotiate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Traits

  • You’re a proactive problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments.
