LabVIEW Developer (Space Sector)
Location: Houghton, MI
Package: Salary up to $150,000 depending on experience + $10,000 relocation + PTO + Medical + Heath + 401K + Stock + Progression

Our client, a pioneering force in NewSpace technology, is seeking a talented LabVIEW Developer to join their team and drive the development of control software for test facilities and equipment. This role will collaborate closely with R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to design and implement software that enhances testing, prototyping, and production processes. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your software, electrical, and test skills to deliver innovative solutions in the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:
– Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements for test systems and automation needs.
– Develop software for automating manufacturing and test operations to meet production demands.
– Streamline and enhance data processing and storage pipelines.
– Design and implement in-vacuum test stands (e.g., thrust stands, robotic plasma probe diagnostics).
– Design and integrate electronic support equipment, including power supplies and data acquisition systems.
– Assist in rapid prototyping of new space hardware (Hall effect thrusters, cathodes, spacecraft buses).
– Document software, procedures, and qualification plans.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Software/Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
– 2+ years of experience in software development and automation, ideally in aerospace or a similar field.
– Proficiency in Python and NI LabVIEW.
– Strong creative problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
– Must be a US Person as defined by federal regulations.
– Experience with DevOps (continuous integration/deployment) and SQL or similar databases.
– Ability to rework and repair electrical and electromechanical systems.
