DevOps Engineer (3 years experience) – Full Time, Permanent | New Space | Toulouse, France

Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join their team on a Full-Time, Permanent Basis.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will maintain, enhance, and scale our ground segment infrastructure. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with engineers and mission operations experts to design, implement, and optimize infrastructure, ensuring it adheres to DevOps best practices.
In this role, you will contribute to the reliability and efficiency of their systems, ensuring they remain secure, scalable, and available to meet mission-critical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and maintain infrastructure projects for the ground segment platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems.
- Develop and manage infrastructure automation using best DevOps practices.
- Create, update, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient deployment workflows.
- Ensure the resilience and monitoring of systems, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
- Participate in the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Work closely with mission operations teams to understand requirements and ensure the infrastructure supports mission-critical operations.
- Continuously improve infrastructure and automation processes to reduce manual effort and improve system uptime.
- Act as an advocate for best practices in software engineering, operations, and reliability.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience of 3+ years in a DevOps engineering role (in the Space/ Aerospace Sector)
- Experience with either: AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Expert knowledge of Python, with the ability to automate tasks and build reliable systems.
- Strong experience with Git version control and working with CI/CD pipelines.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
- Strong understanding of system reliability, monitoring, and security practices.
- Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Rust and/or Golang is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with system automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Familiarity with mission operations workflows and the challenges associated with space-based infrastructure.
- Experience in setting up and managing cloud environments for mission-critical applications.
