Are you a Senior Power Electronics Engineer looking to lead the development of high-performance systems in a game-changing clean energy project?
On offer is the opportunity to design and build the core power electronics behind a cutting-edge microreactor, delivering reliable, zero-emissions electricity for remote and critical infrastructure. You’ll take full ownership of high-voltage systems-from concept and component selection to testing and validation-in a fast-paced, technically ambitious environment.
This role is ideal for engineers with deep experience in high-voltage design, converter systems, and inverter development who are ready to contribute to a first-of-its-kind energy platform.
This position would suit a hands-on power electronics expert who thrives on autonomy, ownership, and system-level impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design and development of high-voltage power electronics systems for a nuclear-driven generator.
* Own schematics, component selection, PCBA layout, and prototyping.
* Develop and validate DC-DC converters, generator drives, and standalone/grid-tied inverters.
* Model and simulate inverter operation and optimize for switching, thermal performance, and EMI/EMC.
* Apply expertise in gate drivers, magnetics, and protection circuits.
* Perform formal circuit analysis including de-rating, worst-case analysis, and thermal tradeoffs.
* Collaborate across integration, motor design, and power systems teams.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on power electronics.
* 8+ years of experience designing high-voltage, high-power electronic systems.
* Strong foundation in inverter and converter design, including simulation and prototyping.
* Experience with EMI/EMC strategies and power stage development.
* Hands-on knowledge of hardware validation and power electronics manufacturing.
