Introduction

We are seeking a Digital Payload Verification & Validation Engineer to lead integration, testing, and validation efforts for advanced digital communication payloads. This role is hybrid, with travel to Canada as required.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will oversee end-to-end verification and validation for regenerative and transparent satellite payloads, working on on-board processors, digital channelizers, and phased array antennas. You will define test methodologies, coordinate engineering teams, and engage with stakeholders to ensure successful payload performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop test plans, roadmaps, and payload test requirements, ensuring alignment with program milestones.
  • Define and optimize test methodologies, test benches, and verification facilities.
  • Drive payload integration, verification testing, anomaly resolution, and non-conformance reporting.
  • Conduct data analysis, system validation, and performance assessments of digital communication payloads.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, program management, and customers to ensure project success.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience in digital payload design, verification, and validation.
  • Strong background in LEO/MEO satellite constellations, digital communication architectures, and system design.
  • Expertise in signal processing, modulation schemes, and networking.
  • Experience with antenna radiation pattern measurements and phased array antennas.
  • Familiarity with modulators, demodulators, symbol rate, Es/No, BER, and latency analysis.
  • Proficiency in Agile development methodologies and simulation tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (French is a plus).
  • Ability to travel to Canada as needed for project requirements.
