Location: Belgium (Onsite, with occasional travel to client sites)

NewSpace Technical are collaborating with a pioneering leader in the space optics industry. We are looking for a Optical Payload Support Engineer to join the team on a Full-Time, Permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for you take on a critical role within the company as you be enabling their clients to integrate advanced Space optics products, shaping the future of space exploration and technology.

About the Role
The Optical Payload Support Engineer will be the vital link between the company and their esteemed clients across the European space sector. In this role, you will:

  • Provide expert guidance for the integration, testing, and operation of their Space Optics Suite with customer satellites and payloads.
  • Offer hands-on technical support during all phases of the payload lifecycle.
  • Act as the technical liaison for troubleshooting, resolving issues, and ensuring optimal performance of the optical systems.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to enhance the product and deliver exceptional customer experience.
  • Travel across Europe to customer sites for in-person support, training, and collaboration.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in satellite integration: Hands-on expertise in working with optical products and their integration into satellite platforms is essential.
  • Qualification: A degree in Aerospace Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Customer-facing skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective support to clients and foster long-term relationships.
  • European Citizenship: Qualifying applicants must be EU Citizens.
  • Willingness to Travel: Flexibility to travel across Europe to client sites as needed.
