NewSpace Technical have partnered with a pioneering Space company at the forefront of photonic innovation! Our client specialises in designing, manufacturing, and developing cutting-edge optical solutions that serve critical sectors such as space exploration, telecommunications, industrial applications, and defense.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Optical Designer who is fluent in both French and English to join on a Full-Time, Permanent Basis.

Role Overview:
As an Optical Designer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing optical systems that meet the advanced technical requirements of their diverse clientele. You will work closely with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to create innovative photonic solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop optical systems and components for applications in space, industry, telecommunications, and defense.
* Perform optical simulations, analysis, and testing to ensure the highest performance standards.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate optical systems into broader solutions.
* Conduct tolerance analysis, performance optimization, and prototyping.
* Interface with clients to understand their technical needs and propose tailored solutions.
* Contribute to the ongoing innovation and development of photonic technologies within the company.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, or a related field.
* Proven experience in optical system design, including working with tools such as Zemax, Code V, or equivalent.
* Experience with optical testing, metrology, and related instrumentation.
* Strong understanding of optical materials, coatings, and manufacturing processes.
* Excellent communication skills in both French and English (spoken and written).
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple projects
